The aims of the Standardisation of Genome Amplification Techniques (SoGAT) group are to identify the need for, and facilitate the establishment of, working reagents and international standards for blood borne viruses and other clinically relevant pathogens, for use in the calibration and standardisation of nucleic acid amplification techniques.
