Aim:
Tonsil Study for evaluation of assays for testing tonsils for
vCJD.
40 x 0.5ml blinded spiked pooled human tonsil samples have been
prepared for evaluation.
These will shipped with 2 x 1ml tonsil homogenate and 2 x 1ml
spiked tonsil homogenate as -ve and positive controls
respectively.

Status:
Started, results due within four weeks of receiving the panel and,
in any case, not later than 27th October 2006.
