Aim: Evaluation of sensitivity for the detection of PrPsc in various spiked plasma samples.  20 blinded spiked human plasma samples were provided to 4 laboratories. Evaluation of samples was to carried out using a Conformational Dependent Immunoassay (CDI) or evaluated by a test developer using a proprietory PrPsc capture ligand.

Status: Completed

Outcome: All laboratories performed well. A further study is required to evaluate a greater range of sample concentrations and possible new sample formulations.
