We produce and validate new and replacement Measles, Mumps and Rubella International Standards and References for WHO.  We organised and participated in a collaborative study to establish the replacement 3^rd International Standard for Anti-Measles (97/648) which was approved by WHO in 2006. A follow up study in 2007 reported on the relationship between the 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd Anti-Measles International Standards in both ELISA and Plaque Reduction Neutralisation Tests (PRNT).

The following are used for the potency testing of WHO vaccines and for the calibration of in-house references.

We also provide a range of other antisera against measles or rubella.
