Combined live vaccine for measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) has been available since the 1970s.  Many countries have incorporated the MMR vaccine in their national immunisation programmes because of its advantages over the individual vaccines.  In the UK, it was introduced in 1988.  There are currently two MMR vaccines licensed for use in the UK, Priorix™ and M-M-R-VaxPro™.
