Oral killed cholera vaccine is released for the European market.

The cholera vaccine contains killed whole cells and the B subunit of cholera toxin (CTB). The LPS and CTB content of this vaccine is analysed by immunoassays and the identity of the vaccine strains is confirmed by genotyping and agglutination.  NIBSC contributed to the EP monograph for oral killed cholera vaccine
